Where the Race Data Comes From

Contoura uses the official export formats of Swiss Orienteering on o-l.ch: the list of published results, the results with split times (CSV) and the start lists. The data is loaded on demand when you import a race.

For each runner Contoura reads the class, finish time or status, the control codes with the time at each control, and — if the organiser published them — the start time.

Not every organiser publishes start times in the results. Contoura needs your start time to place the controls on your GPS track. If it is missing, Contoura uses the start time of your preparation for that race (imported from the start list or entered manually).

Earlier, Contoura imported results as IOF XML. o-l.ch no longer offers this format; races you imported before keep working unchanged.
