Importing Races
Importing a Race from o-l.ch
Step-by-step guide to importing your race results from o-l.ch into Contoura.
Overview
Contoura imports race results directly from o-l.ch, the Swiss orienteering results platform. You paste the URL of the results page for your class and Contoura fetches and parses the data automatically.
Step 1 — Find the results URL on o-l.ch
- 1Go to o-l.ch and find your race.
- 2Click on your class in the results list (e.g. "H20", "D18").
- 3Copy the full URL from your browser's address bar.
The URL should look like this:
Make sure the URL contains "type=rang" — this identifies it as a results page, not a start list.
Step 2 — Paste the URL into Contoura
- 1In Contoura, go to Races and click "Import race".
- 2Paste the URL into the "Results URL" field.
- 3Click "Fetch results".

Relay races can only be imported as individual legs — each leg has its own results page on o-l.ch. Navigate to the specific leg's results page and copy that URL.
Step 3 — Select your name and discipline
After fetching, Contoura shows the event details and a list of all athletes in your class with their finish times. Find and click your name.

Step 4 — Review and confirm
A preview of your result is shown — event name, date, class, finish time, and the number of controls. Click "Import result" to save it to your race list.

Importing the same event multiple times
You can import the same event more than once — for example, if you ran in two different classes at the same event, or if you want to import results for two athletes from the same family. Each import creates its own race record.
Importing the exact same result (same event, same class, same athlete) twice will create two identical entries. Check your Races list before re-importing.
Races without a finish time
If you did not finish (DNF), missed a control (MSP), or were disqualified (DSQ), the import still works. Your status is shown on the race card. Time-loss calculations will be limited or unavailable for incomplete runs.
